How we rank
For each search we retrieve up to 10 products from Amazon's official product data service. Each product gets a score from 0 to 10:
- 60% — average customer star rating (out of 5)
- 30% — number of customer reviews (log scale, capped at 10,000 reviews)
- 10% — currently available to buy
When rating data is not available for a search, products keep Amazon's own relevance order (90%) plus availability (10%), and the page says so.
How products get on a shortlist: we exclude listings from single unknown merchants, products with a thin review history, and sellers with poor feedback or long delivery windows, because a warranty you cannot claim is not a warranty. We do not test products physically. Commission rates play no role in the ranking. "Top Pick" is the highest score; "Best Value" is the best score-per-dollar among positions 2–5. Data refreshes at least every hour.
